SO much info today! I really do feel as if a whole new world has been opened up for me. I loved the classtools.net, and can see a ton of uses for it in the classroom, whether I'm in the computer lab with the kids or we're working together in the classroom, using just the one computer and projector. Some of my favs on that site were Random Name Pickers, Diamond 9 and Living Graph. Thanks!
Thanks also to Chris and other classmates for helping me to shed some of my skepticism about the "fun" stuff such as the music and photo capabilities. I've been a little hesitant to spend too much class time on things that I don't consider to be skills or content-based. However, the fact of the matter is that these types of technologies most definitely will engage the kids, help them make learning connections, and create/publish work that is slick, professional, and something to be proud of. Not to mention, I think this knowledge will be enriching to my personal life, as well. Nothing to be skeptical of there!
