Today was amazing! We learned about photo editing which I loved! What a great tool to be able to use with students and also personally. Students could learn about the techniques of photo editing and use that knowledge for all kinds of projects they would do for their classes.
Classtools.net was awesome and I can't wait to put the link on my webpage and share all that is there with my staff. Teachers are always looking for gadgets they could use in class and there are multiple uses for the tools such as Random Name Picker and Lights Out! I know that teachers will come up with all kinds of uses for the many tools found at that site!
The music sites Pandora.com and Songza.com are great for allowing kids and teachers to create their own stations for their music. I liked the ideas presented in class for using it within the classroom such as while kids are working or to pump them up for competing with each other or completing a task. An idea I have had is to do a Mocha and Music time in the Media Center and it would be a perfect way to stream the music and allow students to choose the music they would like to hear.
I know I will refer to the Ning site that has the multiple links. I'll be spending a lot of time in the next weeks looking at all the great technology tools available there.
