With the exception of Wiki (which I've only seen, but have never really played with), everything I learned today was new knowledge for me! I was most excited by everything Google. So many opportunities there! My husband already thinks that aliens run the world, because he can't possibly understand how human beings have made all this happen. Once I get home tonight and show him just a little of the "even more" that Google can do, his suspicions will be confirmed!

I can already envision how I might use Google Books, Google Earth, Custom searches, and Google Docs in the classroom. I very much appreciate seeing how to do advanced searches for things like PowerPoints and Jeopardy games; access to such materials will fit very smoothly and effectively into what we do. Other things that we learned today (Sketchcast or Wiki, for example) will be great to play with; I will need to practice more AND have my classroom brought into the 21st century a little more in order to use these things to their fullest potential.
